A Brief History of People for Humanity
OUR PURPOSE
People For Humanity was founded with one simple goal: to end poverty, hunger and homelessness by empowering communities to help themselves.
We recognized that traditional aid programs often fell short in addressing the root causes of poverty and that a more sustainable approach was needed.
From the very beginning, People For Humanity was built on a simple conviction: lasting change happens when communities are equipped, not just assisted. We focused on providing education, clean water, vocational training, employment opportunities, and relief aid—both locally and internationally—because we understood that these are the foundations for breaking the cycle of poverty.
Our approach has always centered on small, focused projects that allow us to make a direct and meaningful impact.

OUR COMMITMENT
Our work goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We build resilience. We restore hope.
One of our proudest moments was helping a mother of five who had been forced from her home with nowhere to go. With no food or shelter, she faced an impossible situation. We provided emergency support—and more importantly, the opportunity to start her own small business. Today, she is supporting her children with strength and independence.
In another instance, while distributing rations to flood-affected families, our volunteers met a young girl who had lost her leg in an accident. We were able to arrange treatment at a reputable hospital and provide her with a prosthetic leg. Today, she walks to school, plays with her friends, and looks toward her future with confidence.
These stories remind us why we do this work.
We believe every individual has the potential to create positive change. Our mission is to empower communities to help themselves—by promoting economic growth, productive employment, and sustainable opportunity through vocational training and community-driven initiatives.
