About Us

We work to transform lives through a range of impactful initiatives, including providing microloans to help people start small businesses, offering vocational training and education programs to build skills, and ensuring access to free medical clinics to support physical and mental well-being. In addition, we provide clean water through wells and pumps, a fundamental need that significantly impacts the health and stability of communities.

By addressing both immediate needs and long-term solutions, People For Humanity is committed to creating opportunities for individuals to escape homelessness and thrive. Mission Statement

At People For Humanity, our mission is to empower individuals and communities to overcome homelessness and poverty by providing access to the tools, resources, and support needed to achieve independence and dignity. Through microloans, small business opportunities, vocational training, education programs, free medical care, and access to clean water, we are committed to creating sustainable solutions that help people build better futures and break the cycle of homelessness.Through our efforts, we aim to inspire a culture of empathy, compassion, and community involvement that empowers individuals to make a positive impact on the world.

HISTORY

Brief story behind PFH

People For Humanity was founded with a simple goal: to end poverty, hunger and homelessness by empowering communities to help themselves. Our founders recognized that traditional aid programs often fell short in addressing the root causes of poverty and that a more sustainable approach was needed.
From the beginning, we focused on providing education, clean water, vocational training programs, jobs, and relief aid to communities both locally and internationally. We knew that these resources were critical to breaking the cycle of poverty and giving individuals and communities the tools they needed to build a brighter future.
Our approach has always been focused on small, focused projects, enabling us to have a direct impact on the lives of those we serve. We believe that it is a necessity to work closely with communities to understand their unique needs and to develop solutions that are tailored to their specific circumstances.
Over the years, we have seen the impact of our work firsthand. We have provided shelter, food, and clothing to families in need, empowered women to run their own businesses, and provided access to healthcare and education. We have helped children that were once on the streets get into school and receive an education.
Our contributions extend beyond just material resources, however. We have also helped to build resilience and foster a sense of hope in the communities we serve. We have shown individuals that they have the power to create positive change in their own lives and in the lives of those around them. One of our proudest moments was when a woman with five children came to us after being kicked out of her house. She had no food, no shelter, and nowhere to bring her children. We provided her with shelter, food, and clothing, and empowered her to run her own business through which she is now supporting her children.
Another moment that stands out is when our volunteers were out distributing rations to flood-affected homeless families and saw a little girl who had lost her leg in an accident. They brought this case to us, and we were able to bring her to the most reputable hospital and get her a prosthetic leg.
Today, she can walk, commute to school, and play with her friends. We believe that everyone has the potential to contribute to their community and create positive change. Through our work, we strive to empower communities to help themselves, giving them the tools and resources they need to build a brighter future for themselves and future generations.
